As part of our QA team, you will play a key role in the testing stage of our software development life cycle and have an impact on new feature development along with building test infrastructure and processes, getting to work with industry-standard tools, building your own test setups and improving our in-house Python-based automation framework.
To support our exponential growth, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer IMS/ 4G/ 5G (m/f/d) to join our team!

The role is located in Hamburg.

Tasks

What you’ll do:

You will be involved in our system testing activities by planning, performing and executing a range of tasks through an appropriate mixture of exploratory, pre-planned and automated functional and non-functional testing
You will conduct manual and automated testing of our IMS using handsets as well as automated test cases.
You will analyse and debug problems across multiple separate and complex solutions.
You will write and execute automated tests with the help of our in-house framework as well as any other tools that are required.
You will take responsibility for testing our product and giving the go-ahead for the release of new features as well as existing ones with the help of regression testing.
You will help develop and debug issues in our Python-based in-house testing framework.
You will help to further improve and adapt our testing processes, concepts, and solutions.

Requirements

Our ideal new colleague:

You have hands-on Software Quality Assurance Engineering experience in manual as well as automated testing.
Ideally, you should be familiar with communication protocols like SIP and Diameter and have experience with cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
Passion for and experience in high-level test automation design and implementation, including load testing scenarios, end-to-end and regression.
Experience in setup and configuration of hardware and software test environments.
Experience in the telecommunication industry, specifically with signalling standards such as SIP and Diameter.
Experience with programming/scripting in Python and Bash.
Experience with industry-specific test environments and tools such as SIPp as well as API testing tools like Postman.

Nice to have

Working experience in Agile/Scrum development environment
Experience with modern testing approaches (context-driven testing, rapid software testing, session-based testing, etc.)
Experience with developing and deploying software using containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
